Painting 2004-2005
I got this powerful mixed media painting from Anabela at one of her exhibits back in 2004 or 2005. What struck me was the wildness, the stormy seas and bright-streaked sky and the sense of movement. For me, the birds became dragons winging across the dark, dangerous ocean, with the sunrise lighting their way home. Imagine my surprise when my practical husband was equally moved by it and decided we must have it!
Such is the power and beauty of Anabela's work. He sees birds, I see dragons, and we both love the way it graces our living room space." L.B.
